Southeast Asia

Batong Group -- These islands are close to the Malaysian island of Langkawi and are known for their towering rock formations and beautiful beaches.  Crystal clear waters are full of exotic marine life, ideal for snorkeling and scuba diving.

Ko Khai Nok -- Situated off the coast of Phuket, the island of Khai Nok or Ko Khai Nok (Ko means island in Thai), is a tropical paradise.  This island offers spectacular views of Phuket's coastline which can be seen on the horizon.  The white sandy beaches are perfect for a picnic and a swim.

Ko Lipe -- On the imaginary line that divides Thailand from Malaysia, the forested peak of Ko Lipe rises like a giant mushroom.  A magnificent beach stretches around the island and there are beautiful protected reefs full of coral and fish -- perfect for diving.  There is also a rainforest here - take a walk and look for the monkeys having lunch in the coconut palm trees.

Ko Miang -- A tiny, but beautiful island filled with limestone cliffs and sandy beaches.

Ko Rok Nok -- One of the 15 islands that make up the Lanta group, just off the East Coast of Thailand, these islands are part of a National Marine Park.

Langkawi -- This breathtaking Malaysian island of Langkawi is one of 104 islands scattered off the northern-most tip of the Malaysian Peninsula.  Scenes of paddy fields, limestone hillsides, lush tropical forests and waterfalls, this is a nature lovers paradise.  Kuah Town, its capital is full of excellent duty free shopping.

Penang -- "The Pearl of the Orient" lies off the northwestern coast of the Malaysian Peninsula and is linked to the mainland by one of the longest bridges in the world.  This island is home to one of the finest Buddhist temples in the area.

Phan Nga -- A region of island clusters which includes the islands of Dam Hok and Dam Khwan.  This area is where the James Bond movie, "Man with the golden gun" was filmed.  The islands are so close together that it is possible to swim between the two.  They feature wonderful sandy beaches and superb coral reefs.

Phi Phi Island -- The twin islands of Phi Phi lie south of Phuket in the Andaman Sea. Phi Phi Don, the larger and more developed island offers excellent swimming and beaches.  Phi Phi Ley is smaller with a beautiful coral reef and magnificent limestone caves.

Phuket -- Thailand's third largest island lies in the Andaman Sea and is joined to the mainland by a causeway.  The landscape is full of lush hills, coconut groves and several spectacular beaches.  There are many restaurants, bars and resorts here.

Similan Islands -- The Similan Islands or Nine Islands are nestled in the Andaman Sea, north of Phuket and are world renowned for the diving and underwater sites.  Only accessible by sea - a tropical paradise.

Surin Islands -- A National Park since 1981, the Surin Islands just south of Burmese waters are famous for excellent diving and sport fishing.  There are five islands total and the channel between the North & South Islands is where the best diving is found.
