Douce France is
one of the world’s largest sailing catamarans for private yacht charter. Built to meet the stringent
requirements of a commercial passenger vessel, she conforms to SOLAS and Bureau
Veritas category 3. The yacht Douce France has the ability to sail at up to 19
knots in the right conditions. Her twin diesel engines also allow her to
silently cruise at up to 10 knots, with a very economical cruise speed of around
9 knots.
The Douce France truly is a performance yacht, that also offers luxurious
accommodation. Decked out in mahogany and rosewood, she has a feel of
understated elegance. The windows on the curvaceous deckhouse provide a
wonderful 360 degree viewpoint for guests relaxing in the main lounge.
Accommodation is offered for up to 12 guests in 6 chic air-conditioned
staterooms. Each of these staterooms is lined with pale sycamore wood and offer
the option of either a queen-double or twin bed arrangements. At 50 sq ft in
size, this also leaves ample room for a convertible desk / dressing table. All
have spacious en-suite showers and separate heads facilities.
Dining on Douce France is a wonderful experience, where guests will have the
chance to taste the skills of the first-class chef, who is equally at home
preparing French haute cuisine as well as Asian, Japanese, Indian, Thai, Creole
cuisine and simple dishes, using fresh fish and local ingredients. The Douce
France also has a wine cellar that can take up to 600 bottles, with a selection
of the world's most famous wines, which can be offered to guests to compliment
their meals. Guests have a choice of three dining areas: a spacious cockpit
pleasantly shaded by the overhang of the deckhouse; the more intimate lounge for
the cooler evenings... or the aft teak deck where one can enjoy the warm breeze
and dine under the starlight.
For the more active guests, the Douce France carries a large selection of
watersports toys and offers activities such as: jetskiing, water-skiing,
sailing, windsurfing and not forgetting the on board personal diving instructor
who will guide you on the tropical reefs and also can offer official
certification if required. Access to the water and tender is particularly easy,
using the folding stairway. There are also ample deck spaces for sunbathing.
